Ruby K. Thomasson, 96 of North Little Rock, died on Friday, December 5, 2008. She was born on September 18, 1912 in Kingsland, Arkansas to the late Charles Robert Knowles and Willie Armstrong Knowles. She was a member of Amboy United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, and until her death she was the oldest living member of the church.
Ruby was retired from the medical records department of St. Vincent Infirmary. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Wilson of Dallas, Texas, and Brenda Taylor of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Rebecca Pierce (Preston) and Leigh Williams (Scott), all of Dallas, Texas, and Kristen McDaniel (Steve) and Bubba Taylor (Lola), all of North Little Rock; four great-grandchildren, Jeff Williams of Dallas, Texas, and Mason Prine, Madison Prine, and Gatlin Taylor, all of North Little Rock; one sister, Mickey Roberts (Dave) of North Little Rock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Sosebee; three brothers, Cecil, Carter, and Boyd Knowles; and husbands, Jack Norton and Weaver Thomasson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Amboy United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. Committal services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in Greenwood Cemetery in Rison, Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170.
