Ruby Wallis Powell, 96, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was born September 30, 1914 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Chester and Annie Lee McClune Elkins. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
She is survived by four sons, Vidle Gene Wallis and wife Hilda, of Ft. Smith, B.G. (Wally) Wallis and wife, Connie, of Higden, Kenneth Ray Wallis and wife Rayma, of May, Texas and N.K. Wallis and wife, Janet of North Little Rock; daughter, Carlene Mason and husband, Gary, of North Little Rock; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Marie Wallis Collins, of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her son, Grady Lee Wallis.
Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church and Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in North Pulaski County. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
