Ruby Marie (Adams) Hardwick, 91, of Little Rock passed away peacefully Monday, Nov 23, 2015 surrounded by family and prayers. Ruby graduated valedictorian, class of 1942 Bauxite High School She kept the books for the business that she and her husband (Carl) started in 1970... Hardwick Band Instrument Repair. She was an expert seamstress and a world class Mother and Grandmother! She was also a 65 year member of Parkway Place Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister, Ruth Davis, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Arlene Hardwick of Little Rock and Steve and Carla Hardwick of Haskell; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Harry Allen, of Benton; eight grandchildren, Carl and Penny Hardwick, Harry Allen IV, and his wife Ashley, Michael and David Allen, Noah, Caleb, and Seth Hardwick; and two great-grandchildren, Davis and Haley Allen; and three nieces, Dottie, Lavern, and Pam; and one nephew, Randy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Carl Hardwick; her parents Oscar and Dothie Adams (of Bauxite); her sister, Ona Mae Harper; and a very special friend, Laura Heard.
Funeral services will be held at 10:45 a.m., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com
