Ruby Atchison

Ruby Atchison, 78, of Cabot, transitioned to our Heavenly Father on October 3, 2021 under the comfort care team of Springhill Baptist Hospital. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones. Ruby grew up in Marianna, Arkansas and was born on October 4, 1942. She worked as a Nurse for over 40 years before she retired. Ruby will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Ruby was predeceased by her father Amon Clark, mother Francis Clark, brother Lowell Clark, husband James Seth Hopkins, husband LB Atchison, and grandson Christopher Wayne Hopkins.

Ruby is survived by her sisters Amy Wells (Bill) and Cathy Griggs, her sons Charles W. McBryde (Debbie) and Michael P. McBryde (Andrea), her daughters Pamela F. Shankles, Heather L Bragg (James), Suzette D. Weast (Brian), her stepdaughter Patricia V. Ryan (Roy). Grandchildren Samantha McBryde (Scott), Stephanie Wrench (Travis), Erin N. Weast, Adam S. Weast, Joshua McBryde, Noah McBryde (Hannah), Haley M. Shankles, Cheyenne Guess, Lance Ryan (Shari), Chandler Bragg, Emma Jones, Malachi Davis her great grandchildren Alana, Brentley, Charity, Colton, Ella, Kaiden, Kallista, Kaspyn, Khurston, Leland, Lyla. She is also leaving behind many other cousins and family members that loved her dearly.

Her desire was to be cremated and requested a celebration of life be held with her family members opposed to a traditional funeral service.
