Roy “Doc” Frederick Braden, 94, of Little Rock, passed on April 14, 2020. He was born May 6, 1925, to John Holman and Ruby Pearl Braden. Roy was a transformer repairman for AP & L where he worked for thirty five years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a lifelong Cardinals baseball fan and made multiple trips to St. Louis. He attended games at all three of the Cardinals ballparks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Betty Sue Graddy Braden; sister, Ellon B. Holmes; and brother, John Edward Braden.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Austin Braden; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Tom Bryan of Bentonville, AR; son and daughter-in-law, James Fred and Mary Kay Braden of North Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Kimberly “Kim” and John Prescott of Sherwood, AR; Amanda and Zach Elbert of North Little Rock, Arkansas; Jordan and Kyla Bryan of Murphy, TX; and Jenny and Evan Cowling of Harrison, AR; great-grandchildren, Luke Thomas Bryan, Braden Saul Cowling, Logan Marie Bryan, Harley Arnold Elbert, Tyler Camp Cowling, Lucy Diane Bryan, Reese Braden Elbert, and Landry Jean Bryan; and other extended family and friends.
