Royce Wayne Davis

Royce Wayne Davis, age 81, of Glenwood, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

He was born on February 25, 1941, in Honobia, Oklahoma, the son of Thomas Wayne Davis and Velma Manasco Davis.  He was preceded in death by his two grandsons, Eric Cook and Trey Nabb; his parents; and two sisters, Bonnie Davis and Jean Strickland.  On September 19, 1970, he was married to the love of his life, Sandra Kay Davis.

Royce had a passion for dirt track racing and even at one time had his own race car.  He also enjoyed NASCAR, watching all the old black and white western shows and working on anything he could get his hands on with a motor.  Royce will be fondly remembered by many for being that nice guy sitting on his porch waving at everyone that drove by.  But his greatest joy in life was traveling to watch his grandkids playing their different sports.

Royce was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who loved his family with all his heart.  He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Davis of Glenwood; his four daughters and their spouses, Sherry and Bobby Hutchison of Amarillo, Texas, Sheba and Chris Parker of Hugo, Oklahoma, Stephanie Davis of Progue, Oklahoma and Catherine and Darren Cevela of Hot Springs; his son, Joey Davis of Glenwood; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Hewie and Kathy Davis of Port Ritchie, Florida; his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Raymond Ellis of Umpire; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
