Royce Crump, 98, of Ward, Arkansas, was called home Thursday, April 5, 2012. He was born December 10, 1913 to Jessie and Emma (George) Crump in Brownsville, Kentucky. Royce was a Navy Seabee during WW II, a member of Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church and a Mason. He was a retired dairy farmer with several hobbies which included hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife of seventy years, Geneva; his only child, George K. Crump; parents; and nine brothers and sisters.
Royce is survived by three grandchildren: Kinley Crump, Colton Crump, and Hayley Crump all of Cabot; daughter-in-law, Vicki Crump of Cabot; in-laws, Gene and Ann Sutton of Fordyce; and several nieces and nephews.
Royce's grandson, Colton dedicated the last two years as caregiver to him so that he could stay in his own home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at Westbrook Funeral Home with burial in Sylvania Cemetery.
