Roy G. Pippen, 92, of North Little Rock passed away Saturday,
December 17, 2016. He was born April 24, 1924 in Crossett, Arkansas to the late Roy D. Pippen and Roberta Rhodes Pippen. He grew up with his foster parents, Herman Wenzel and Eunice Wenzel of North Little Rock, now deceased.
Roy was a graduate of North Little Rock High School class of 1942. He retired from the city of North Little Rock Electric Department as an office manager. Roy was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church, a deacon, former Sunday school teacher and former member of North Little Rock Kiwanis Club. He also served his country in the Naval Air Corp during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; son, Larry and wife, Michelle; granddaughters, Danielle and Kate Pippen; step-granddaughter Brittany Cissell and her husband Levi of Springdale and his great-granddaughter, Ember Rose of Little Rock.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 East C St., North Little Rock, AR, 72116.
Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. prior to funeral service at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
