Roy Gene Harris

Roy Gene Harris, age 65, of Amity, died Saturday, September 27, 2014. He was born on June 18, 1949, at McCaskill, the son of Harlous Alvery Harris and Ethel Annie Garner Harris. He was a retired truck driver and logger. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Danial Stout of Glenwood; two grandchildren, Desiree Farmer and James Cole Farmer; five siblings and their spouses, Betty and Floyd Lunsford of Pine Bluff, Sue and Ray Emerton, Richard and Lynn Harris, Vester Harris and Norma and Billy Sorrells, all of Amity; his companion, Tanya Deaton of Amity; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 3, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Jerry Fagan officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
