Roy Emmett Burns, 95, of Beebe, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009. He was a retired diary farmer and an Army veteran of World War II, and a Christian.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Opal Burns, one son, Bobby Burns and wife Ruby of Beebe; three grandchildren, Keith and Kristi Burns, Nicki and Bruce Salmon, Heather and Carey Weathers and a step-granddaughter, Deana and Colton Clay; six great-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild; two brothers, Otis and Oscar Ray Burns, both of Beebe; one sister, Blanche Mitchell of Carlisle; and a brother-in-law, Kelly Jones of Beebe.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2009, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in New Hope Cemetery.
