Roy Lee Adkins

On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Roy Lee Adkins, 75, went home to be with his Lord. Roy was born to Eva and Walter Adkins. Roy was a beloved husband, father, and grandpa to his three grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was married to Linda Adkins for 43 years, and he had no greater joy than loving and bragging on his family. Roy had an infectious laugh that will always be remembered by those who knew him. He was a proud Navy Veteran and was always willing to share stories about his time in the service. He was also a proud volunteer at the VA. Roy loved to work with his hands. He was a craftsman. He had a long career as a carpenter and in later years enjoyed many projects. He was a staple of Stanley Hardware in North Little Rock where he will be greatly missed by his customers and co-workers. He also enjoyed reading in his spare time and to love on his “girls”, his two dogs, Liza and Maggie. Roy was a light to everyone he met. You would rarely find him without a smile on his face and a word of wit and wisdom to share.

Roy is survived by his wife, Linda, their daughter, Stephanie Chisom (Eric) of Monticello, 3 grandchildren, Lindsay (Ben) Brockinton, Whitney Wilson, Luke Wilson and one great-grandchild, Emmett, as well as his sister Sue (Bart) Hammond along with countless other beloved extended family members and friends who he loved very much.

His final resting place will be the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
