Roxanna Darnell

Roxanna Rice Darnell, 81, of Little Rock, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away April 21, 2015. Born in Springfield, Missouri to the late Walter and Doloros Ferree Rice, she was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the Joy Circle. Known by many as "Sweetie Pie," she was a bookkeeper at Darnell Drug, a member of Del Phi and Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Darnell; son, Bob Darnell (Glynda) of Southlake, Texas; daughters, Suzanne Koesy (Paul) of Little Rock and Kathy Mitchell (Tom) of Colleyville, Texas; brother-in-law, Wirt Darnell of Springfield, Missouri; and grandchildren, Rob Darnell, Kelly Darnell, Will Morrow, Katy Morrow, Emily Mitchell Smith (Shelby) and Matt Mitchell. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Lauren Marie Darnell.

Visitation is Friday, April 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Greg Schick. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
