Ross Stanley

Ross E. "Coach" Stanley, 78, of North Little Rock passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he served over the years as a Deacon, Elder, and Lay Minister. He was a member of Crescent #403 Masonic Lodge and was a past Master of the Lodge. Ross was a retired schoolteacher and coach with the PCSSD (Sylvan Hills). He was a member of the North Little Rock Wildcat class of '53 and the Arkansas Retirement Teachers Association. He enjoyed fishing at his cabin on Lake Conway and hunting down on the Payne Place. He also enjoyed attending the sports events and other activities of his grandchildren.
Ross is survived by his three daughters and their spouses, Renee' Mann (Karl), Sandra Green (Tim) and Tracy Evans (Steve); seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Mann (Stephanie), Matthew Stanley, Allison Farish (James), Joshua Green, Bradley Green, Heather Evans and Blake Evans; as well as great-grandchildren, Robbie and Tommy Mann, Erin Farish, Jayden Green, Riley Bir and Bristol Green. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse "Gene" and Celeste Perdun Stanley Parish and his wife, Carolyn Rhodes Stanley.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 W. 4th Street, North Little Rock. Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., on Sunday at the North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
