Ross Wayne Clark

Ross Wayne Clark, affectionately known by his children and grandchildren as “Pop” was called to his eternal rest on April 28, 2023, at his residence in Delight, Arkansas.

Pop was born on August 4, 1952, in Harrisburg, Arkansas. His family moved to Lake Providence, Louisiana shortly after he was born. He was the youngest of 6 siblings and spent much of his life there. To him, Lake Providence was always “home”.

Pop was preceded in death by his mother, Nona Pearl Williams Clark; his father, Algie Lee Clark; his brother, Billy Wayne Clark; and his sisters, Glenda Ashlock, Layne Johnson, Marie Pavy, and Jessie Wise. He is survived by his sister, Betty Holley; his children, Jeremy Lee Clark and spouse, Andrea Clark; Shannon Nicole Clark Fisher and spouse, Shawn Fisher; Cody Dane Matheny and spouse, Camila Matheny; and Jared Wayne Clark and spouse, Erica Clark; as well as 5 grandchildren: Zachary Clark, Tyler Clark, Henry Fisher, Makayla Clark, and Isabella Clark.

According to his wishes, his children and grandchildren will have a private ceremony to spread his ashes in the place, he called home. We take comfort in the thought that Pop may now take his rest with the family that he missed so deeply and that he will be with us, watching over all of us, until we can one day see each other again.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
