Rose Love Spector, 94, of Little Rock passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007 at her home. She was the widow of , Ben Spector and is survived by two sons, Robert Spector, of Little Rock and Arthur Spector, of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren, Andy Spector, of Chicago, Illinois, Jeffrey Spector, of Little Rock and Stacey Spector, of San Jose, California.
Mrs. Spector was born December 3, 1912 and was raised in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was active in school plays, dancing and cheerleading, graduating in 1931. She and her husband, Ben Spector met and later married in St. Joseph, Missouri on June 19, 1936. They moved to Little Rock in 1940 where Ben Spector accepted a position with Bensky Furs.
She returned to St. Joseph, Missouri with her two sons, when her husband, Ben Spector, was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943, serving with distinction as a Corporal in the Combat Infantry, and was discharged in 1945.
In 1945, they returned to Little Rock, and in 1949 opened their own fur business, Ben Spector Furs, which they operated until their 1976 retirement.
Rose Spector was active in Congregation Agudath Achim, a life member of Hadassah, an aide at the Veterans Administration hospital and was a doting mother and grandmother.
