Roosevelt Anderson, 81, of Little Rock, passed away September 5, 2009. Born April 14, 1928 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Lee and Florence Ritt Anderson, he retired after 34 years from Reynolds and Alcoa Aluminum Companies.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Farr Anderson; sons, Patrick Anderson, Vincent Anderson; daughters, Rovone Martin, Florence Jones (Reginald), Melany Anderson and Vonda Anderson, all of Little Rock; sister, Chezaline Ford (Jim) of Little Rock; brothers, Runion Anderson, Sr. (Mae Ola) of Benton, Thomas Anderson of Pine Bluff and Lee James Anderson of Arizona; ten grand-children and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Anderson, sister, Margaret Hensley and great-granddaughter, Laila McCrary. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Visitation will be Friday, September 11, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., (NW corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Little Rock Funeral Home, with Reverend Alvin Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. The family will receive friends after the graveside service at Free Will COGIC, 8100 Calleghan Rd. in Little Rock.
