Rondal Larry Barnes, 82, passed away February 25. 2025, his birthday, at home with his wife by his side. Larry was the son of Cora Velma (Miller) Barnes and Eugene Debs Barnes, both preceding him in death. Larry was united in marriage on June 21, 1969, to Carol (Graham) Barnes in Libertyville, Mo., a marriage of 55 years.
Larry worked for Central Microfilm Company of St. Louis, Mo., and then UARCO Business Forms which became Standard Register. He retired from Standard Register after over 35 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the 100% Club for 14 consecutive years.
He lived in St. Louis, Mo., and Paducah, KY, before moving to Sherwood, AR in 1986. He was active in many community organizations in Paducah and Sherwood: an active member of Paducah Jaycees, coached and ran the program for little league football, and was involved in his daughters’ elementary PTO. In Sherwood, he was a member of Sherwood Chamber of Commerce, was in charge of the Sherwood Sharks Swim Team for many years, a member of ENO, a business networking group, and was a member of Sherwood Rotary Club, serving as president for the 2018-2019 club year, during which time the club was recognized as the Outstanding Small Rotary Club of the Year for the state of Arkansas, and he has always been an active member of his church.
Larry was a gifted athlete, attending Southeast Missouri State University on a track scholarship. He has always had many hobbies and interests. He liked to repair and refinish furniture. He loved art of all kinds; painting, photography, singing. After retiring from Standard Register, he started a photography business and enjoyed many years of creating art through the lens of the camera.
Survivors include: two daughters Lori Jolley (Ted) of Little Rock, AR; Reagan McKinney (Rowland) of Fayetteville, AR; five grandchildren; Lucy Jolley (19), Lach McKinney (19), Piper Jolley (15), Mira McKinney (15), and Jett McKinney (15), who lovingly refer to him as “Name”.
