Ronald E. Powell

Ronald Edward Powell, Jr.

Ronnie was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, pappy, and friend.  He was an entrepreneur and successful business owner, creating jobs and supporting families through his work as CEO of Pinnacle North Corporate Aircraft Interiors in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He believed in the Lord and felt his calling was to become a warrior in God‘s army.

Ronnie was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Ann Queen.  Survivors include his wife of 25 years Francis “Frankie” Hoover Powell; children:  Brandon Powell (Delaney), Ashley Murry, and Courtney Lawrence (James); his mother, Ann Marie Constantine Robertson; grandchildren:  Caleb, Colby, Randall and Kinslee; bonus grandchildren:  James, Keyanna, Jay, Nia and K.J.; father-in-law:  Bill Hoover (Edith); brothers-in-law:  Dennis Queen and Larry Hoover (Laura Jo); sisters-in-law:  Darlene Barnes (Bill) and Missy Whitlow (Mark); as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Ronnie was a man of faith with a passion for life.  He loved all types of music and sports, particularly, Judo, which he shared with his son.  He was full of joy and laughter, had a jovial way with words, loved to have fun, and never met a stranger.  Always a gracious host and the life of the party, his humor could create a thunder of laughter in a room of tears.  His personality was, truly, larger than life.

Ronnie, a fierce protector of those he loved, was a loving and proud family man.  He was proud of his children and grandchildren and lived life to the fullest. He and his wife of 25 years, Francis, worked diligently to provide for their family. His never failing integrity and his work ethic were rivaled by few.  Ronnie changed countless lives with his natural ability to couple compassion and kindness with integrity and being a solid voice of reason.  Most importantly, he showered his friends and family generously and wholeheartedly with his love.  He led his children and grandchildren with honor, integrity, and dignity.  He took care of his mom with grace, patience, and dedication. Most of all he adored and cherished his wife and the life they built together.  Ronnie loved, he laughed, he gave, and he fought to the very end.

Ronnie is not leaving any of us behind.  He will stand in strength, watch over us, and be here with us every day.  We will feel his touch in a warm wind.  We’ll hear his voice in a song.  We’ll feel his presence in the sounds of laughter, and his embrace in a tender moment.

To Ronnie, our warrior, great provider, fierce protector, man with a heart of gold, a passion for life, a devotion to family, and personality that could light up a room - we know you will never stop defending or watching over us until we are embraced by your loving arms again.  We will miss you, our loving Husband, Dad, Son, Brother, and Friend.
