Ronald Lee Powell, 57, of Benton, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2018. He was born February 19, 1961 in Dermott, Arkansas to Alma "Jean" (Rowsey) Perkins and the late Thomas Powell.

Ronnie loved the Lord and listened to Christian music and loved to pray with his family. He was good-hearted and had a giving heart. Laughter was always heard when getting together with his family. Ronnie took great care of his mother and was a talented cook. Enchiladas and Mexican cornbread were family favorites. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors taking care of his plants. Ronnie was a wonderful son, brother, and friend.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Powell; paternal grandparents: Marvin and Myrtle Powell; and maternal grandparents: Fred and Dorothy Rowsey.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Jean Perkins of Bryant, Arkansas; three sisters: Laurel Childress and husband Johnny of Alexander, Arkansas, Karen Wright and husband Bill of Humbolt, Tennessee, and Kathy Jo Lewis of Benton, Arkansas; three nieces: Amanda McClain and husband Mac, Lauren Berkshire and husband Jeremy, and Leighann Comer; three nephews: Austin Wright, Justin Childress, and Tyler Lewis; cousins: Matt and Steven Powell; and a host of family and friends who love Ronnie and will miss him always.
Celebration of Life service, officiated by Tony Clifton, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 27 at Grace Church-East End, 24300 US Hwy 167, Hensley, Arkansas 72065.
