Ronald Lynn Wright

Ronnie Wright of Bauxite, Arkansas, born on November 22nd 1951; passed away on November 18th 2024; he is at rest after several battles with cancer. He passed peacefully in his home with Vicki Wright, his wife of 44 years, holding his hand.

Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and had retired from International Paper after 44 years of service. He was an avid deer hunter, loved to fish, but most of all; he loved spending time with his family. He was the type of man that could not be slowed down when it came to getting the job done, especially when it was helping out anyone with anything that needed to be done, rather it be mowing someone’s lawn, changing the brakes on someone’s car or fixing anything in someone’s house; he was always there and ready to help anytime he was needed. He was always the one to crack the jokes and always went out of his way to make others feel at ease. He was liked and well respected by all who knew him.

Ronnie is remembered by his wife Vicki, his son Jamey Burton (and wife Brandi Burton), Casey Wright (and wife Caroline Wright), his grandsons Dylan Burton, Dakota Burton, Kelsey Wright, grand-daughter Jessika Hansen and five great-grandchildren. He is missed by his entire family and many friends.

Ronnie was preceded at rest by his mother Joyce Thomey, his step-father Eugene Thomey, his father D.L. Wright, his brother David Wright and his grand-daughter Kaitlyn Wright.

The family would like to give a very special Thank You to Amy Lockeby and Tyler McKa. During Ronnie’s final weeks they selflessly took care of Ronnie’s every need when he needed help or was no longer able to do for himself. They were there to keep him company and comfortable and he came to love them as family. Their care and dedication to his well-being truly reflects the generous nature of them both.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Bauxite City Hall on November 29th, 2024 at 2:00PM to honor Ronnie’s life and memory. The family is not asking for donations or contributions at this time.
