Benton

Ronald Wayne (Ron) Burcham, a talented artisan woodworker and beloved family man, passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on August 24, 1953, in Benton, Arkansas, Ron was known for his quiet demeanor and strong work ethic, preferring to let his woodworking speak for him rather than seek the spotlight for himself.

As an artisan woodworker, Ron dedicated his life to the craft. He spent a career in carpentry while also creating custom heirloom pieces that resonated with beauty and longevity. His intricate furniture, personalized chests, unique boxes, and art pieces made with a variety of woods reflect both his skill and passion for woodworking. Many of these exquisite creations found their homes through Consign Design, a furniture consignment store in Maumelle, AR. Ron's ability to transform wood into stunning visual art not only displayed his talent but also created lasting memories for all who were fortunate to receive his work.

Beyond his craftsmanship, Ron enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed camping and backpacking, and cherished time spent outdoors, exploring nature through trips to the Ouachita National Forest. His love of long drives down county roads allowed him to appreciate the scenery and tranquility that the world had to offer.

Ron’s legacy will continue to shine through his loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 24 years, Andrea Burcham of Benton, Arkansas; his son, Paul Burcham, and wife Jennifer of Bryant, Arkansas; and his daughter, Hilary McAllister, and husband Wes of Chamois, Missouri. He is also survived by his brothers, Charlie Burcham and wife Georgiann of Moore Haven, Florida, and Steve Burcham of Magnolia, Arkansas, and his special aunt, Brenda Frazier Kent of Bryant, Arkansas. He is also survived by his beloved fur babies: rescue dogs Della, Oakley, and Asha; and cats Gomez, and Jazzy. Ron will be remembered fondly by many family members and friends who loved him and will miss him always.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Lee and Goldie (Moore) Burcham, and two sisters, Pat Atkinson and Peggy Turley. Ron leaves behind a legacy of artistry, love, and a commitment to his family that will resonate for generations to come.

His family will be holding a private service.

Memorials may be made in Ron's honor to Adopt a Stray Rescue at 14601 Ansata Dr. Alexander, AR 72002, or the charity of your choice.
