Ronald James Andrejack passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 24th, 2024, at the age of 82. We will be forever changed with him no longer in our lives. Ron was the beloved son of John and Anna (Bali) Andrejack born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, in 1942. He was raised as a member of the Catholic church and graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1960.
Ron went on to join the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for four years as an air policeman. He was stationed in Iceland and Little Rock, Arkansas. It was while in Little Rock that he met his future wife, Sharon (Williams) Andrejack. They were soulmates who married in Kensett, Arkansas and built a life together filled with love and dedication. They shared over 61 wonderful years together.
Following his military service, Ron became a trooper joining the New Jersey State Police in 1965. He spent many of his 23 years in the police working in the ballistics unit, serving with distinction and rising to the rank of sergeant. After retiring from the police force, he continued his public service as a firearms examiner at the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for 24 years. He applied his expertise and meticulous attention to detail to help solve countless cases, contributing significantly to the pursuit of justice. Over the years he made many work friends and served as a skilled trainer to co-workers with his extensive knowledge of firearms. He truly loved the work he did and retired at the age of 70.
Ron was a devoted husband to Sharon and a loving father to his three daughters, Deborah (Steve) Bechtel, Alissa (Duncan) Hogg, and Patricia (Victor Krulikowski) Andrejack that they raised in Milford, New Jersey. He was a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren: Amy, Brian, Caitlin, Amanda, Duncan, Adam, and Kendall and a proud great-grandfather to Henry. Grandpa enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and treating them to breakfast outings when they visited. He traveled to visit family across the country and especially cherished getting together around the holidays. He considered his family to be his greatest achievement and will be remembered by his loved ones for the values he imparted.
He enjoyed working on projects at his workbench, flea markets, country and gospel music, old western movies and crime shows, all things chocolate, and a good nap. He pursued education throughout his life taking many college courses and belonging to professional organizations.
Ron was known for his sense of humor and practical jokes, positive outlook, kindness, and honesty. He was a genuinely good guy. Ron was a hardworking man with a strong work ethic. He was very resilient and overcame some curveballs that life threw him along the way. He leaves behind a lasting impact on the many lives he touched through his work and personal life.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 31st, 2024, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by burial at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude or a charity of your choice. Ron will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
