It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Romaine Guillory, a beloved father and friend to many.
He is survived by his three children April, Ranger, and Randi. He is preceded in death by his parents Agnes and Earl Guillory, his brother Earl Guillory Jr., and his sister Agnes ‘Faye’ Vess.
Born and raised in Abbeville, Louisiana, Romaine was a 1971 graduate of Abbeville High School who made his way to Hot Springs, Arkansas with an entrepreneurial spirit and a handful of delicious Cajun recipes. As the longtime owner of Cajun Boilers, he built a legacy of great food, warm hospitality, and a gathering place for family and friends. His love for the restaurant business was only rivaled by his love for bass fishing. Few things brought him more joy than being out on the water, casting a line, and sharing stories about his fishing tournaments. His love, wisdom, generosity, and humor will be deeply missed but forever cherished by those who knew him.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Jake Bell for his care and support.
Tight lines and smooth waters, Romaine. You will always be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the C.A.S.T for Kids Foundation, reflecting his love for fishing.
