Roland Elton Kirkpatrick, born May 20, 1943 entered Heaven on March 26, 2016.
He was predeceased by his parents, Roland Alvin Kirkpatrick and Ruthie May Kirkpatrick, and one brother, Paul Dean Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy Marie Dodd Kirkpatrick; one daughter, Kimberly Kaye Jewell and husband Tony; one son, Jason Elton Kirkpatrick; one granddaughter Breanna Marie Jewell; one grandson, Braxton Anthony Jewell and sister-in-law, Brenda Kirkpatrick.
He loved the Lord, his family, his pastor Rod Loy, church family and many Post Office friends and golfing friends. He loved driving the shuttle at his church, First Assembly of God in North Little Rock; loved golf, Razorbacks, and St. Louis Cardinals. Jason and his Dad were buddies. They played golf together every week and went to many ballgames. Elton retired as Postmaster of the Mabelvale Post Office in 2000. He was a quiet, gentle man who never complained, He will be dearly missed.
Memorials may be made in Elton's name to North Little Rock First Assembly of God Mission Program, 4501 Burrow Drive, North Little Rock, AR, 72116.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, March 28, 2016 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock. Funeral will be held, 11:30 am, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at First Assembly of God, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
