Robert Richard "Bob" Jones

Robert Richard "Bob" Jones, 81, passed away on July 11, 2024, in Bauxite, Arkansas. Born on August 25, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Bob dedicated 35 years of his life to the United States Air Force, serving from September 1966 until his retirement in September 2001. During his distinguished military career, he held the position of Aircraft Intelligence Officer, a role that required both precision and dedication.

Bob's personal life was marked by a deep love for his family and a passion for simple pleasures. He is survived by his wife, Sara Jones; his brother, Jim Jones and wife Francis; his sister, Darlene Gilbert; his daughters, Paige Esch and husband Brian, Angie Chandler and husband Matt, Riki Bagley and husband Greg, and Brittany Bryant and husband Dustin. His legacy also continues through his grandchildren, Blake Harrington, Brock Bagley and wife Jeslyn, Laura Flood and husband Ryan, Bryson Harrington, Brett Bagley and wife Kiera, Alayna Harrington and husband Chris, Carmen Crowley and husband Aaron, Andrew Esch, Will Chandler and wife Kate, Abby Chandler, Anabelle Bryant, and Macy Bryant. Bob was also a proud great-grandfather to seven beautiful great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dawell and Irene Jones, and his daughter, Kayla King.

In his leisure time, Bob could often be found sitting in his garage, smoking his pipe-an activity that provided him much solace and time for reflection.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at Graves Memorial Baptist Church on Monday, July 15th at 1pm. Those wishing to honor Bob's memory can send flowers to 4617 Oak Grove Rd, North Little Rock, AR 72118. 

Bob's life was one of service, love, and commitment, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
