Roger Dale Reaves

Roger “Dale” Reaves, 70 of McRae, Arkansas passed away on December 3, 2024. He was born July 23, 1954, to Frank and Virginia Nell Moffett Reaves.

He loved the outdoors, particularly camping, hunting and fishing. Roger would do Taxidermy for himself and his friends. He enjoyed riding his trike and was a member of the group “Brothers of the Third Wheel.”

Roger worked for many years as a butcher for Piggy-Wiggly before doing construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Virginia Reaves, and brother Robert Reaves.

Roger is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Joseph) Gortz, Shawna (Jaimie) Brunken and Ashley Reaves; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Dennis Reaves, Ronnie (Michelle) Reaves, Carl “Phill” Lachance; sisters, Rachelle Henson, Michelle Sutter and Frankie Sherman; and special friend, Shirley Bradford Osborn.

The family would like to especially thank the kind people at The Blossoms at Oakdale Nursing Facility in Judsonia for their loving care of Roger.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday, December 9th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with the Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 404 W Dewitt Henry Drive, Beebe, Arkansas. Burial to follow at Lebanon Cemetery in McRae.
