ROGER CLYDE BURRUP, 74, of Little Rock, AR passed away on August 15, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. 

Roger was born January 14, 1950, in Downey, Idaho to Clyde and Helen Burrup. He was a graduate of Marsh Valley High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Brigham Young University.

He served a two-year Mandarin Chinese-speaking mission to Taiwan and kept his love for the Taiwanese people close to his heart until the end of his life.

Roger married Sally Roper in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on November 10, 1984.

He retired from Practice Plus, a division of Baptist Health, after over 22 years of service in their accounting department. Roger enjoyed stamps, coins, and at the time of his passing had completed two quilts. He was also a Lego enthusiast and was the proud owner of the original Lego set which, at the time, was manufactured by the Samsonite Luggage Company.

Roger was a very devoted family man. His fondest desire as a young man was to be a husband and father. He fulfilled these roles in an exemplary manner and was especially proud of his son and grandsons.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived his devoted wife Sally, his son, Scott Roper Burrup (Katee), his beloved grandsons, Bryce Roper Burrup, Ryder Finn Burrup, and Emery Hayes Burrup, his brother Jay Burrup (Dorothy) and four nieces. 

Services for Roger will be Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Pinnacle Mountain Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 600 South Rodney Parham Road at 11:00 AM. The family visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Burial will be private.
