Roena Rogers, 87, of Little Rock, widow of Ralph Houston Rogers, passed away at her home on Monday, October 6, 2008. Born March 16, 1921 in Woodbury, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Ira and Faye McCraw Tenpenny. She was a founding member of the Bible Church of Little Rock, and taught Sunday School there for over 50 years.
She is survived by her children, Pam Haynie of Bryant, Debbie Rogers of Little Rock and Terry Montgomery and husband, Don, of Clifton Park, New York; grandchildren, Tris Groome of Bryant and Tammy Lev (Rick) of Latham, New York; two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be held this evening, Wednesday, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9 at the funeral home, officiated by Dr. George Zemek and Pastor James Hendrich, followed by burial in Roselawn Memorial Park.
