Robert Winzerling

Major Robert A. Winzerling, retired, 77, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, May 17, 2010. He was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years. During his service, he had 3 tours in Vietnam and flew missions into Laos and Cambodia. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for 37 years. During retirement, he enjoyed doting on his grandchildren and just spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Georgia Winzerling, of North Little Rock; two sons, Robert J. Winzerling and wife, Marcella, of Jacksonville and Stephen Winzerling and wife, Beth, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Mary Wallin, and husband, John, of North Little Rock; six grandchildren, Gabriel, Kate, and Claire Wallin; Anthony, Samuel and Rebecca Winzerling; three brothers, John Winzerling, and wife, Flo, of Colombia, Missouri, Rev. James Winzerling and William Winzerling, both of St. Louis, Missouri; and brother-in-law, Bob Yarber, of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Winzerling, and sister, Mary Yarber.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 505 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Memorial Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, followed by a rosary service, at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
