Robert L. Williams, 79, of Little Rock passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. He was born in Waukon, Iowa on May 14, 1934 to John and Alice (McCabe) Williams. He was a retired Economist with the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington, D.C. He served in the United States Army from 1957 - 1959 where he was an Interpreter in France. Robert was a graduate of Loras College in Iowa and attended Law School at Loyola College in Chicago.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Palumbo (Fred) of Huntley, IL; aunt, Mabel Batteen of Minneapolis, MN; brothers-in-law, Reggie Corbitt (Mary) of Little Rock; Jeff Corbitt (Renee) of Cabot; sisters-in-law, Velma Brown of Hot Springs, Jeanette Joseph of Bosier City, LA, Barbara Corbitt and Jean Corbitt both of Redfield, AR; many nieces nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Laverne Corbitt Williams; brothers-in-law, Roger and Orville Corbitt; sisters-in-law, Ina Hampton and Mildred Corbitt.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Hockenberry Cemetery in Tichnor, AR. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8th at Little Rock Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham Rd, Little Rock, AR 72212.
