Robert (Bob) Ray White Sr., 73, of North Little Rock, passed away early Sunday morning at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 4, 1937 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Calvin N. and Thelma (Kennedy) White. Bob lived in the North Little Rock area for more than 50 years. He was a devoted father, brother and friend. Bob was retired from the North Little Rock Police Department and was the owner of Bob's Pawn Shop for many years. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the American Legion and a Master Mason. Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Bob was preceded in death by his two sons, Robert Ray Jr. (Bobby) & Dennis Lee (Denny) White and two brothers, Jiles Lee & Calvin N. Jr. (Nick) White. Bob is survived by his three brothers, Arthur B. White (Sandra), David L. White (Toni) & James S. White (Cynthia). Bob is also survived by his two sisters, Evelyn B. Borchardt (DuWayne) & Julie White Poeschel.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
