Robert Styn

Robert August Styn, retired Master Sergeant, 48, of Sherwood formerly of Warner Robins, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010. He was a graduate of Little Rock Catholic High School for Boys and attended the University of Arkansas before joining the United States Air Force. Bob retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service, and during his career Bob received a number of awards, commendations and served at several bases. He was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.
He is survived by his son, Robert A. Styn, Jr., and wife Rachel and his son, Andrew J. Styn of Brunswick, Georgia; daughter, Rachel M. Styn of Atlanta, Georgia; mother, Anna M. Styn; brother, James R. (Rick) Styn and wife Sharon, all of Sherwood; nephew, Nicholas J. Styn; and niece, Kristina D. Styn, of Conway. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Styn and all of his grandparents.
Memorials may be made to D.A.V. Local Chapter, 2200 Ft. Roots Drive, Bldg 65, Room 121, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114.
A visitation will be held 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Online obituary and guest registry at nlrfh.com.
