Robert Smithwick
Robert L. (Bob) Smithwick, 80, of North Little Rock, went to his heavenly home on October 28, 2014. He was born June 23, 1934 in Rison, Arkansas. He retired from the Air Force and worked as a mechanic and raised his family in North Little Rock.
Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Smithwick of 54 years. He has one son, Robert Wayne Smithwick, six daughters, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert also has one sister, Faye Sapp from Grapevine.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and other sports, cards, collecting movies and solving puzzles. He was an excellent, loving caregiver to his wife, Betty, before his health deteriorated.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to Dr. Ann Riggs and the UAMS staff for their excellent care.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. Funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
