Robert Wayne Sims

Robert Wayne Sims, 44, of Bismarck, Arkansas, gained his angel wings on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Baptist Health Medical Center of North Little Rock, Arkansas. 

Robert was born October 31, 1979, in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Lauran Diana Hathcock and the late Alfred Standmore Sims.  

Robert was previously a truck driver for C.J. Horner and Co. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his uncles Charlie and Timmy Sims, but, more than life, he loved and enjoyed his two nephews Braxton and Lucan Sims who called him their Papaw.  

Robert attended Arkadelphia School District after moving here from Phoenix, Arizona. 

He was preceded in death by his dad, Alfred Sims; his grandfather, Charlie Sims and his grandmother, Rosetta Hermsen.  

Left to cherish his memory are his step-father, Albert Hathcock of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his mother, Laura Diana Hathcock of Bismarck; his sister, Misty Dawn Sims of Waldo, Arkansas; his brothers: Alan Perry Sims of Bismarck, Paul Albert (Sydney) Sims of Donaldson, Arkansas and Shane Toliver Hathcock of Bismarck; his sister, Victoria Pearl Hathcock of Bismarck; his best friend, Heather Leanne Mitchell of Donaldson and lots of uncles, aunts and cousins.  

A graveside service will be held Monday, February 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Richwoods Cemetery in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
