Robert Neidig Robertson, 80, of Little Rock, died May 31, 2012 following a long illness. He was born August 4, 1931 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri to Robert L. and Dorothy Neidig Robertson. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1953 where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a lifelong Presbyterian, serving as Deacon, Elder and church Treasurer and was a member of Second Presbyterian Church.
Following graduation, he served in the Army and then in the Army Reserves. He received another Bachelors Degree from UALR and a Masters in Business Administration from UCA. After 33 years as a District Manager, he retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He was also a Certified Public Accountant.
Preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Susan Stovall, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita McCaskill Robertson; sister, Mary Hansen of Irving, Texas; son, Dr. Robert A. Robertson and wife, Beverly of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughter, Carol Whitaker and husband, Dr. Bryan Whitaker of Fayetteville; son-in-law, (LtCR) Jann Stovall of Copperas Cove, Texas; and six grandchildren, Amanda Stovall, Dr. Taylor Robertson, Lauralee Robertson, Emily Zantow, Madeline Whitaker and Amelia Whitaker.
Services will be Tuesday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Steve Hancock and Rev. Karen Akin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Dr., Little Rock, AR 72227, Presbyterian Village, 510 Brookside Dr., Little Rock, AR 72205 or Alzheimers Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Dr., Little Rock, AR 72205.
