Robert "Bob" Porter, age 72, of Arkadelphia passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at his home. He was born February 2, 1941 in Perryville, Arkansas the son of the late Lewis and Daisy A. Porter. Bob was a salesman for the R. T. French Co. in the Little Rock area for thirty years and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Arkadelphia.
Survivors include one son, Chris Porter and wife, A. J. of Arkadelphia; one daughter, Barbara Keith and husband, Doug of Ft. Worth, Texas; three granddaughters, Lyndi Porter, Shelby Keith and Chelsea Keith; one grandson, Matthew Porter; and one sister, JoAnna Simpson and husband, James of Tull, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 2nd at Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church in Arkadelphia with Bro Ronnie Hardin officiating. The body will lie in state from 9:30 until service time at the church. Interment will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Harper Cemetery near Perryville, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Henley, Dale Garlin, Troy Garlin, Robert Yehl and Chris Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Barnes, Doyle Covington, Wong Moty and Troy Runyan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church.
