Robert Salazar, 78, passed away on February 28, 2025. He was the husband of Loretta Dee Salazar. They shared 55 years of marriage together. 

Born in Reedley, California, Robert was the son of Albert Salazar Sr. and Delfina Ramirez Salazar. He was employed at AP&L (Entergy) and worked as a meter reader/collections agent. One of his proudest accomplishments was his commitment to serving his country in the United States Army. His dedication to duty was a testament to his character and was further proof of the amazing man that he was. 

Robert was also a member of Life Line Baptist Church, in which he attended for almost 50 years. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities such as gardening with his granddaughters, hunting, fishing, landscaping, coloring and puzzles on his iPad. His most favorite hobby of all, was being a “Papaw” to his grandkids. He will be remembered for his personality, his care for others, sense of humor and love of life. 

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Maria Fann, his grandchildren, Breanna Salazar, Savannah Jenkins (Corbin Jenkins), Peyton Fancher (Jimmy Fancher), Madison Salazar, J.C. Salazar and Chloe Salazar. His pets, Jack, Stewart, and Ferdinand. He is predeceased by his wife, Loretta Dee Salazar, his daughter, Robin Salazar, his son, Robert “Bobby” Salazar, and his parents, Albert Salazar Sr. and Delfina Ramirez Salazar, as well as his two brothers, Roy Salazar and Albert Salazar Jr. 

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Smith Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR, 72015. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come. We appreciate each and every single one of you.
