Robert Scott O'Quin, known to his friends and family as Scott, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023, at the age of 61, in Morristown, TN. He was born on July 29, 1962, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Scott was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Scott dedicated the majority of his working years as a diesel mechanic at Kenworth in Knoxville, TN. His co-workers at Kenworth were not only his colleagues but also his dear friends. Scott's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his co-workers for their unwavering support and friendship.
Scott was deeply cherished by his family in Arkansas. He is survived by his ex-wife, Patricia "Tootie" O'Quin; his mother, Bobbie Jean O'Quin (Gaban); his brother, Roger Louis O'Quin Jr. (Billie); his niece, Sydney O'Quin Gilbert (Luke); his nephew, Christopher Ryan O'Quin (Sasha); and his great-nephews and great-nieces, Andrew Gilbert, Fiona and Connor O'Quin, and Kasley Jo and Callen Dillmon. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and their families who held a special place in his heart.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Roger Louis O'Quin Sr.; as well as his grandparents, L.E. "Pat" and Viola O'Quin and Lawrence and Emerald Gaban.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, to honor and remember Scott. The service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, August 18 followed by burial at the Vilonia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, located at 1000 N. Mississippi Street, Little Rock, AR 72207.
Scott will be remembered for his warm presence, dedication to his craft, the love for his family, and the lasting friendships he formed throughout his life. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
