In 1957, they came to Little Rock where Bob became President and CEO of Southern Asphalt Roofing Corporation. He was a founding partner of the Westside Tennis Club, captain of four USTA state championship teams and a lifelong tennis and exercise enthusiast.
An elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church, he was President of the Men's Bible Class at Second Presbyterian for 25 years. A board member of the Boy Scouts of America, the Central YMCA and the Salvation Army, he was also Vice-President of the Peace Through Strength organization and State Chairman and a volunteer counselor of SCORE. Formerly a member of the Downtown Rotary Club, Riverdale and Pleasant Valley Country Clubs, the American Legion, the VFW and the Razorback Club, many will remember him for his Arkansas Democrat-Gazette letters to the editor.
A devoted husband of 53 years and loving father of four, he is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Carol Jones (Dr. Bruce) of Jonesboro, Robert T. Munger (Paula) of Augusta, Georgia, and Melissa Lee Moore (Rev. David) and Marjorie Watkins, both of Little Rock; and a sister, Mary Ellen Stonecash of Dayton. He was a proud "Grandpa" to ten grandchildren, Daniel (Andrea), Christopher (Ashley) and Elizabeth Jones, David, Matthew and John Michael Lee, Sarah and Gregory Watkins, and Emily and Audrey Munger.
