Robert Morrison

Robert "Bob" F. Morrison, age 77 of Bismarck died Wednesday, Aug 2, 2006 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Hot Springs. He was born Sept 16, 1928 in New London, Conn., the son of the late John and Anna McFee Morrison. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in WWII, Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was former owner and operator of Morrison Heating and Air Conditioning Co. in Bossier City, LA and was a retired maintenance man from the Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Morrison was a 32-degree master Mason with the Arkadelphia Lodge #381, a member of the VFW, the Moose Lodge of Hot Springs and an avid golfer. He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Arkadelphia. He is preceded in death by one son, David Morrison and one brother, John Morrison.

Survivors include his wife, Mary J. Leverenz Morrison; one daughter, Diane L. Byles and husband, Richard of Houston, TX; one sister, Lorraine Easterwood of West Palm Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Cory and Magan Byles of Houston, TX.


Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 4, 2006 in the First Presbyterian Church of Arkadelphia with Rev. Kendal Land and Rev. Patrick Greer officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bossier City, LA at a latter date. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Presbyterian Church in Arkadelphia.
