Robert Jolliff

July 20, 1953 — March 12, 2025

Hot Springs, AR

Robert Wayne Jolliff took his first breath in heaven on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan B. Jolliff, Dorothy Jean Fowler Jolliff and his brother Charles Stephen Jolliff. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patti Ingram Jolliff, his son Robert Christopher Jolliff and wife Stefanie, granddaughters Hailey and Makenzie, his son Dan Allen Jolliff and wife Brittany, grandchildren Savannah, River and Slade, as well as a host of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rob was born on July 20th, 1953 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He spent his early years in Collinsville, Illinois, where he first exhibited his leadership by winning the most valuable player award for every football game his freshman year. He later moved to Fort Smith, where he continued his leadership on and off the field as a Southside Rebel. Rob attended college at Arkansas State University and returned to Fort Smith to join the family business.

Rob was employed by Acme Brick Company for 25 years in sales management and as a regional vice president in Louisiana and Mississippi. His exemplary work ethic and leadership earned him this quote, "If there's ever a brick war, I hope Rob Jolliff is on my side." Later he became a licensed building contractor in Louisiana and later the National Sales Training Coordinator for Superior Lamp.

Rob was a friend you could count on for anything. If he was your friend, he was your friend for life. He was a great mentor to many young men in business and in life. Some called him a second father or the brother they never had. He was the consummate planner, leader by example and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His five grandchildren filled his life with amazing joy. He spent hours wondering about the things they would accomplish. His most precious time, was that time spent with his wife.

He loved fishing, hunting and golfing with his sons and close friends. He had a deep and abiding love for his family and was so proud of the fine young men that his sons had become. He had a dynamic smile and an infectious laugh. This world will greatly miss his big heart and his big personality, but we know that he is now rejoicing in heaven in the presence of our heavenly Father. He would never tell you good-bye. So, I'm sure that he would like to tell you, "I'll see you!"

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 5th Fort Smith Bakery District The Collections Room 70 South 7th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas Visitation 1:00-2:30 Celebration 2:30-3:30.
