Robert Dean Howell

Robert Dean Howell, age 73, of Hot Springs, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022.

He was born on December 19, 1948, in Hot Springs, the son of Herman Dean Howell and Mary Frances Howell. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers-in-law; Louis R. Munos and James A. Graham, respectively.

He was a born-again Christian who loved the Lord, and all who were close to him and knew him well.

Robert was a graduate of Cutter Morning Star High School and attended Henderson State University. He retired as a master printer and owner of Howell Printers, a respected printing shop founded by his father, Herman, in Hot Springs, AR.

Robert loved helping people and was always up for a good project. He was always willing to help others with "do it yourself" projects. He’d spend all day helping install an appliance or get his hands dirty with your car’s maintenance, all without wanting credit. His satisfaction came from knowing he could help make your life easier, and from a job well done.

Robert, like his brother-in-law, James, was a lover of family and local history. He was always ready to educate and entertain any who would listen. We regarded him as the keeper of our family’s history. We feel as if a part of our family’s story passed with him. Though he will be missed, his story isn’t eternally lost. We take comfort knowing we will see him again one Glorious Day.

He is survived by his sisters, Sue Graham of Pearcy and Sandra Munos of Hot Springs; His niece, Tonya Graham and nephew, Jeffrey Graham, both of Pearcy; his nephew, Alexander Munos of Hot Springs and his nephew, Jason Munos and (Jennifer) of Papillion, Nebraska.
