Robert Farris
Robert (Bob) Farris was born on March 31, 1942 in Chula Vista, California. He left his earthly home in North Little Rock on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the age of 67.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Madge Farris. He is survived by his cousins, wonderful neighbors and friends in Chauta Vista, California and North Little Rock. Bob was an extremely talented musician. He held a BA degree of Arts from San Diego State University, a Master of Arts from the University of Iowa and completed all course work for DMA in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. Bob had taught music at the Mary Crest College in Iowa and also at the University of Iowa. He later returned to San Diego, California where he worked as manager of the McEvoy Music Center and taught in the Drama Department of the San Diego College as well as the Old Globe Theater. In 2001 he moved to North Little Rock where he taught privately and was the piano/organist for the Levy United Methodist Church until his health diminished to the point he could not continue.
