Robert “Bobby” Bowren died peacefully in his home on Monday, June 3, 2019 in North Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 54.
Bobby is survived by his daughter, Lauren Bowren; sister, Barbara Pangle (Curtis); brother, Art Bowren (Karen), all of North Little Rock; nephews, Nick Bowren, of Austin, Texas, Britt Bowren of North Little Rock, John Michael Fowler, of Los Angeles, California; nieces, Megan Wilson (Dade) and Aubrey Pangle, both of North Little Rock; grand niece, Maggie Wilson and grand nephew, Joby Wilson of North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Mary Ann Bowren; and his brother, Michael Wayne Bowren, all of North Little Rock.
Like his brothers and sister, Bobby was a child of a Military Service Family. Bobby was the youngest of the children, born on June 14, 1964 in Pirmasens U.S. Army Base in Germany. From childhood Bobby displayed many artistic skills. He became proficient in drawing, painting, wood carving and later in life, knife making. His skill at a young age as an artist continued throughout his life. He was always a fierce competitor in both athletics and work and loyal to a fault when family was involved. His life-long hobbies were fly fishing and bow hunting.
Bobby graduated from North East High School in North Little Rock in 1982. He worked in numerous sales jobs that included Haverty’s Furniture Company and Today’s Office Inc. as well as jobs in the Car Sales business. Physically disabled as a young man, he was faced with many physical challenges. His kind-hearted nature, and later in life, his trust in the Lord were his way of facing these challenges.
Missing Bobby now, is only natural to those who knew and loved him.
