Robert Borden

Robert Andrew Borden, 62, of Benton, Arkansas passed away May 20, 2021.  He was born September 25, 1958 in Indiana to James and Charlene (Hall) Borden.

Robert served as a volunteer fire fighter for many years.  Robert loved spending time outdoors and riding four-wheelers.  Family reunions were some of his favorite times.   He enjoyed aggravating people and telling stories.  His family meant the world to Robert and he loved them all dearly.  Robert was an avid shopper on Facebook, where he loved to “wheel and deal”.  He collected many things, especially model cars and trucks.  Some say Robert was a man of many trades, but a master of none. The one thing Robert did master was the gift of unconditional love.

Preceding Robert in death are his parents, James and Charlene (Hall) Borden; brothers:  Wayne, Tommy, and Tony; and sisters: Charlotte and Dorothy

Left to cherish Robert’s memories are four sisters: Carol Perkins and husband Cloys of Malvern, Arkansas, Barbara Kerr of Conway, Arkansas, Loretta Morigeau of Benton, Arkansas, and Sarah McGhee and husband Allen of Perryville, Arkansas; five brothers:  Ray Borden of Leighton, Alabama, Johnny Borden of Malvern, Arkansas, Billy Borden and wife Barbara of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Michael Borden of Benton, Arkansas, and Ricky Borden; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who loved Robert dearly and will always miss him.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26, followed by Celebration of Life at 6:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.
