Robert "Bob" McCullough

Robert N. “Bob” McCullough died July 4, 2021. He was born in Bastrop Louisiana on April 18, 1932, to the late Mary Ellen and William L. McCullough. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Campbell McCullough, his sisters, Frances Hunter, Beatrice Smith, and brothers Reverend Edward McCullough, Frank McCullough, Bill McCullough, and James McCullough.

He attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello from 1950-52 and transferred to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville where he received a Bachelor’s (1954) and master’s degree (1956) of Science. He worked in the poultry industry, retiring from ConAgra Foods in 1995.

Bob served in the United States Army from 1956-58, stationed in Great Britain and Germany. In London, England he met his future wife, Teresa Lee Campbell. They married in January 1958 and made their first home in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is survived by their two children, Sandra McCullough Cone and her husband Dr. John B Cone, Stephen M. McCullough, two grandchildren, Matthew McCullough and Megan McCullough as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bob and his family were members of the Episcopal Church, attending Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church Little Rock Arkansas in his last years. He and his family are grateful to the clergy and members of Saint Mark’s for the support in the last weeks of his life. His family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of the House of Three and Home Hospice who worked diligently to make his last week’s pain free and allowing him dignity until the end of his life.

Bob enjoyed golf, travel, and time with his grandchildren. He often reflected that his college education had enriched his life and so in lieu of flowers please contribute to his alma mater, the University of Arkansas Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Scholarship Fund , which aids students much like himself to achieve agricultural degrees.

Services will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021, 11:00 am at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, Little Rock, Arkansas.
