Robert D. " Bob" Bailey, age 60, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 at his home. He was born Sept. 16, 1956 in Camden, Ark., to Barbara Bailey and the late David G. Bailey. Bob grew up in Marked Tree, Ark., where he graduated from high school. He was employed at Spectrum Paints and had worked in the painting industry for 41 years.
Bob served in the transportation division of the U.S. Air Force for four years at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Michigan.
Bob was preceded in death by his father David G. Bailey. He is survived by his son Tyler Bailey of Little Rock; daughter Lindsey Bailey of Little Rock who is attending college at ASU-Jonesboro; mother Barbara Bailey of Bullard, Texas; sister Cindy Bailey of Orlando, Fla.; brother William "Bill" Bailey of Bullard, Texas; along with a host of other relatives and friends - many who were young people who thought of Bob as a second dad or brother.
He was proud of his children and loved spending time with family and extended family. Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting, plus all kinds of sports. He especially enjoyed rooting for the Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys.
A celebration of Bob's life is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 at Pavilions 1 and 2 at Murray Park. Please come and bring your memories and stories about Bob. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Bob's name to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission - Youth Programs.
