Robbie Walpole
Robbie Walpole, 81 of Vilonia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock after a long battle with respiratory illness. She was born on March 21, 1930 in Vicksburg, Mississippi and was the daughter of Robert Dollarhide and Myrtle Overton-Dollarhide.
Robbie was a Navy wife for over twenty-six years, traveling the world with her family. The love of travel for Robbie continued after her husband John's retirement from the military, the two of them traveled together across the country for many years in their RV. Robbie loved arts and crafts, and doing word puzzles. She enjoyed the nice weather and spending time outdoors surrounded by flowers on her patio. She was also a very talented cook and collected many recipes over the years. Robbie will be remembered by her son as being the best mother a son could ever have, one who always loved and cared for her family.
She is preceded in death by her son Jimmy Walpole, her loving husband John Walpole, a sister Joann Rippy, and a grandson Joseph Walpole.
Survivors include her son Joe Walpole and wife Doris of Vilonia; two grandchildren Brandy Morgan and Cheyenne White; three great-grandchildren and a life-long best friend Pam Eustis of Cabot.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Robbie's memory to Hospice Home Care,2200 South Bowman Road Little Rock, AR 72211.
