Rita Rogers

Rita Pearl (Harrison) Rogers, age 79, of Searcy passed away Saturday January 20, 2018. She was born to Boyd Hubert and Pauline (Halbert) Harrison on August 21, 1938 in Carlisle, Arkansas.

Rita was "The Lighthouse" for her family and her friends. She loved with all her being and her life was her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Rita possessed and abundantly shared the Gift of Encouragement. She could calm the waters and still the storms of life just by talking the situation through. She enjoyed traveling, baseball, and life to the fullest. Rita was a member of Country Valley Christian Church.

Rita is survived by her three children; Bret Rogers and wife Phyllis, Ginger Rogers DeMaris and husband Ken and Stan Rogers and wife Deanna; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Vicki Lea; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Wayne Rogers; brother, Thomas Virgil Harrison, and Sister, Verna Larkan.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday January 23, 2017 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
