Rita Blake, 77, formerly of Hot Springs, passed away November 8, 2011. Born September 2, 1934 in Cuero, Texas to the late Erich and Freida Von Brandenstein, she is survived by her husband, David Blake; sons, Ricky Bloor (Linda), Rodney Bloor, Randy Bloor (Lynn) and Roger Bloor (Kathy); daughters, Dorothy Kimery (David), Liz Robbins (Phillip) and Lynn Harrison (Dennis); seven grandchildren, Stacy Azmat, Landon Kleffman, Kristen Robbins, Matthew Kimery, Eric Rutledge, Erica Bloor, Kayla Bloor and Shawn Goodin; and two great-grandchildren, Addison Kleffman and Gabrielle Azmat.
She was a graduate of Lake Hamilton High School. She was past president of the Arkansas Jaycettes and was involved with Boy Scouts of America. She was a supporter of the March of Dimes and the Humane Society of Pulaski County.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 12 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Carl Hoffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County.
